Summer Reading
The St. Francis Summer Reading program is utilized throughout all grades. Primary School students through eighth graders are responsible for reading specific books over the summer. St. Francis uses the Texas Library Association’s 2x2 Reading Lists, Bluebonnet Lists, and Lone Star Lists, as well as the HAISLN Lists for grades K–8. Each list offers a wide variety of titles covering fiction, nonfiction, historical fiction, classics, and poetry. The particulars for summer reading are specified by each grade level.
