Visual Arts
St. Francis’ exceptional visual arts curriculum is fueled by the belief that every child can learn how to draw, paint and sculpt. Even before they can speak fluently, our youngest students are encouraged to explore creative expression through a variety of media, and the focus gradually swings from process to created product as the student progresses in his St. Francis education. By the time a student reaches eighth grade, he or she will have participated in a variety of gallery shows, had opportunities to submit works in competition, worked in a range of artistic styles and interpretations, and gained an appreciation for both craftsmanship and creativity in the visual arts.
