High School Placement services
St. Francis graduates are known for being well educated, well spoken, well rounded—and well prepared for the high school of their choice. In fact, 99 percent of our graduates are accepted into the college-preparatory high school they hoped to attend—due largely to their solid academic preparation, extensive leadership training, and reputation for character and moral excellence.
Our students’ excellent record of placement into quality high school programs is due in part to the guidance and assistance the school offers parents and students regarding the process of high school acceptance. The faculty, high school admissions coordinator, assistant head of Middle School, head of Middle School and head of school serve as resources in this process, working together throughout the year to provide a support system for our families and students.
In addition, each fall Middle School administrators and St. Francis’ high school admissions coordinator invite parents of eighth graders to a High School Information Night, where they discuss the application processes of Houston-area high schools and provide up-to-date information about application deadlines, visitation policies and scheduled open houses.
While students and parents are responsible for completing the application process for each of the high schools they are considering in a timely manner, the high school admissions coordinator will, after receiving a written request from the parents, send transcripts to high schools and hand-deliver the student’s records by the due date to prevent "lost in the mail" calls.
