The future is created and recreated as new discoveries are made, and St. Francis prepares its students to tackle the unknown challenges of tomorrow by helping them develop their creativity today.
Led by talented experts in the visual and performing arts, the school’s extensive art, music and drama programs stimulate creative thinking, nurture self-confidence, and enhance leadership skills and academic performance. Students also develop discipline, perseverance and commitment as they prepare for gallery shows and for the variety of musical and theatrical productions that take place in St. Francis’ 600-seat performance and fine arts center.
Students also develop an appreciation for art and its history through the school’s signature Art a la Carte program. With trained parent-volunteer docents as their guides, students explore the lives and legacies of famous artists, plus painting, sculpture and architecture, often in a historical context. They also learn to ask informed art-related questions and to approach art as educated critics, all the while building confidence and becoming inspired to develop their own creativity.
After school, students can take advantage of private music instruction or pursue special interests through our Encore and Encore Plus programs.
Whether your child finds joy in art, music or drama, St. Francis provides the tools and instruction they need to embrace their creativity while preparing to embrace the future.
