The goals of the Technology Department at St. Francis Episcopal Day School are for students to see technology and computer knowledge as a learning tool to enhance their educational experience, to access creative expression, and to learn how to function in today's digital age.
Technology integration begins in the Primary School where the computers are used in the classrooms as one of their activity centers. Technology is integrated into the lower and middle schools' curriculum via the use of the Technology Lab, mobile laptop computer carts, desktop computers in the classrooms, digital still and video cameras, and iPods. This academic tool is used to enrich and expand the learning capabilities of the student beyond keyboarding, word processing, and remedial support and opens the door to the world of information and creative expression.
