The recipient of Taylor Publishing's Award of Excellence for "Outstanding Accomplishment and Contribution to Scholastic Journalism," the 2009 St. Francis yearbook---"Out of the Box"---has raised the standard of excellence for yearbook advisers, editors and designers across the U.S. Fewer than 5 percent of yearbook programs in the country receive the honor annually, and "Out of the Box" was selected based on its innovative cover design, theme development, layout designs and photo content.

Along with the award, the cover and select spreads of "Out of the Box" were featured in Taylor Publishing's "Yearbook Yearbook," a publication that recognizes outstanding work in yearbooks.
